Braska's Final Aeon

Master the Braska's Final Aeon boss fight in Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. Learn strategies for both forms, handling the Yu Pagodas, and utilizing Tidus's abilities for victory.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Braska's Final Aeon (First Form): HP 60,000, AP 0, Overkill 20,000. No weaknesses or resistances.
• Braska's Final Aeon (Second Form): HP 120,000, AP 0, Overkill 20,000. No weaknesses or resistances.
• Yu Pagoda: HP 5,000. Low physical defense, moderate magical defense.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Braska's Final Aeon (First Form) appears with two Yu Pagodas.
2. Phase 2: Braska's Final Aeon (Second Form) appears with two Yu Pagodas.

Strategy:

• Yu Pagoda Mechanics: The two Yu Pagodas are the primary threat. When both are alive, they will use Power Wave on BFA, healing him and removing status ailments. If only one Pagoda is alive, it will use Curse (inflicting Curse, Darkness, Poison, Silence, Sleep) or Osmose (draining MP). The Pagodas respawn with HP equal to the total damage dealt to them previously, not their base HP. They are out of melee range except for Wakka.
• Party Setup: Start with Tidus, Yuna, and Auron. Switch out as needed. Consider equipping Stoneproof to mitigate petrification from Jecht Beam.
• Tidus's Trigger Command: Tidus has a Trigger Command to interact with BFA, which resets BFA's Overdrive gauge. This can only be used twice and is best saved for the second phase, especially against BFA's ultimate Overdrive.
• BFA's Attacks: BFA uses normal attacks, Jecht Beam (can petrify), and Triumphant Grasp (hits twice, can inflict Zombie) as his Overdrive. If an Aeon is out, his Overdrive becomes Jecht Bomber. In the second phase, his physical attack becomes a party-wide sword swipe. His second phase Overdrive can change to Ultimate Jecht Shot (party-wide damage).
• Dealing with Pagodas: Prioritize managing the Pagodas. If you focus on BFA, the Pagodas can significantly prolong the fight. Attacking them with Wakka or magic is effective. Rikku's Trio of 9999 Mix can defeat them in one hit.
• Magic and Aeons: Magic like Flare or Ultima is effective. Aeons can also be used, with Bahamut's Overdrive capable of breaking the damage limit.
• Buffs: Haste and other buffs are generally safe to use as BFA's attacks don't typically remove them, except for petrification.
• Damage Limit: If Break Damage Limit is equipped, be mindful that damage dealt to Pagodas affects their respawn HP.
