Alright, so you've hit Mount Gagazet and you're running into these Machina guys, the Mech Leaders. They're pretty tough, but don't sweat it, I'll walk you through how to handle them.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• HP: 3,700
• Overkill HP: 5,500
• AP: 830
• Weaknesses: Thunder
• Resistances: None listed, but it's a Machina, so be careful with certain actions.

Strategy:

• This guy is a Machina, which is a key piece of info. If you try to use the Steal command on it, it'll just fall apart immediately. Seriously, it's that simple! So, if you're struggling or just want a quick win, spamming Steal is your best bet.
• If you don't want to go the Steal route, or if you're out of MP, focus on using Thunder magic. It's super effective against this enemy. The higher tier Thunder spells like Thundara or Thundaga will take it down even faster.
• Keep an eye on its 'Electrocute' attack. It targets a single character and hits them with moderate Thunder damage. Make sure you have some healing items or spells ready, like a Hi-Potion or Cure, just in case someone takes a big hit.
• When it comes to item drops, you'll usually get a Hi-Potion. If you're lucky and manage to get an overkill (hitting it for more than 5,500 damage), you might snag a Mega-Potion. For stealing, you can usually get Grenades (x2), and if you're really lucky with a rare steal, you'll get Frag Grenades (x2).

Just remember, the Steal trick is the easiest way to deal with these guys. Otherwise, load up on Thunder spells and keep your party healed!
