Walkthrough
- 1From the thin platform, return to the brick block platform above.
- 2Propel yourself off it to the right, hovering down onto the first two Paragoombas.
- 3Propel yourself back up and hover down onto the next Paragoomba after stomping one.
- 4Defeat the third Paragoomba to your right and hover to the platform.
- 5Hit the ? Block for a potential Propeller Box.
- 6Star Coin Alert! #3: Propel yourself up onto the left Donut Block. Before it falls, jump north into the gap in the blue ice wall and propel yourself up to find the Star Coin. Grab it and hover down onto the remaining Donut Block.
- 7Immediately propel yourself up and onto the stack of Goombas. Stomp them all without touching the ground for three 1-Ups.
- 8Propel yourself up onto the platform to your right.
- 9Hit the ? Block for another Propeller Box.
- 10Propel yourself up, grab coins to your left, then hover back to the platform. Repeat for desired coins.
- 11Jump and propel yourself off the left side of the platform, hovering left to land on the snow-covered gap in the blue ice wall. Grab the coins.
- 12Move forward and propel yourself onto the platform to your north, then up to the one with two Paragoombas.
- 13Stomp both Paragoombas, then jump off the north edge and propel yourself high into the air.
- 14Hover down onto the top of the Goal Pole for two 1-Ups (one for reaching the top, one for being in a Propeller Box).

Walkthrough
- 1Jump north-east up the platforms.
- 2Stand on the ! Button and quickly follow the path made by the appearing green panels before they disappear.
- 3Stomp the Stingby as you run by and continue down the path.
- 4Jump down onto the platform below and step on the next ! Button.
- 5Take a running jump off the second green panel toward the final green panel on the other side to land safely.
- 6Hit the next ! Button.
- 7Jump up the forming steps, stomping the Stingby on the way up.
- 8At the top, hit the middle brick block for a Statue Leaf and the other two for coins.
- 9Move onto the platform before the green panels disappear.
- 10Run north-west over to the ? Block and two brick blocks. Do not hit the ? Block as it contains a Poison Mushroom.
- 11Hit the two brick blocks to collect the spilled coins.
- 12Run back south-west.
- 13Step on the right ! Button of the three, then immediately run and jump onto the middle and left buttons.
- 14Run down the green panels created by the middle button.
- 15Follow the path up the steps, stomping the Stingby.
- 16Star Coin Alert! #1: If quick enough, a path will lead up to a Star Coin on your left. Follow it and grab the Star Coin.
- 17Immediately take a running jump north-east to the platform there. Deal with the three Stingbies one at a time.
- 18Hit the Warp Box.
- 19After warping, run north-east and hit the Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Flag (a checkpoint).
- 20Hit the right ! Button, immediately followed by the left.
- 21Follow the green panel path made by the left button north-east until it turns.
- 22Instead of turning, continue north-east, dropping onto a panel made by the other button and hitting the Warp Box. Dodge the Stingby.
- 23You will warp back above the platform with the Checkpoint Flag, grabbing a green clock as you fall.
- 24Star Coin Alert! #2: Wait for the buttons to reset if needed, then hit the right then left ! Buttons again. This time, follow the right path to the end, dodging Stingbies.
- 25At the end, hit the right Warp Box to warp back above the Checkpoint Flag platform, grabbing the second Star Coin as you fall.
- 26Hit both ! Buttons again.
- 27Follow the left path, dodging Stingbies.
- 28At the end, hit the left Warp Box to continue.
- 29You will warp to a platform with three ! Buttons to the north.
- 30Hit the left, middle, then right buttons in quick succession.
- 31Run south-east until past where the green panels begin building up to avoid being trapped.
- 32Run out of the south-east side.
- 33Run around to the left side of the forming structure and climb up.
- 34A Stingby will be at the top. Lure it one way, then jump to the other side of its panel and jump up onto it. You may take damage.
- 35Continue on, ignoring any damage taken.
Tips
- In Part 67, using the Propeller Box allows for extended aerial maneuvers, useful for collecting coins and reaching the Goal Pole for extra lives.
- In Special 2-5, be mindful of the disappearing green panels; speed is essential.
- When facing multiple Stingbies in Special 2-5, try to engage them one at a time.
- The ? Block in Special 2-5 contains a Poison Mushroom, which is detrimental. Avoid hitting it.
