Navigate Super Mario Land World 4-2, find all three Star Coins, and discover the secret exit to World 5.

Walkthrough

    Move up north and go right, behind the blue wall for some coins.

    Drop down to the bottom level and run right.

    Collect the three coins and stomp the Inky Piranha Plant on this level.

    Jump up left past the five-high Goomba stack and stomp the Inky Piranha Plant.

    Jump onto the top of the Goomba stack and hit all five without touching the ground for a 1-Up.

    Jump towards the right platform with the six coins, then wall jump off of the back wall just to the left of it and land on the platform. Grab the coins and jump back left to where you stomped the second Inky Piranha Plant.

    Star Coin Alert! #1: There is a long rectangular shadow just north of where the second Inky Piranha Plant was. Jump up onto the small blue ridge at the back of the room and then simply jump up to grab the Star Coin.

    Move left and jump onto the rubber platform in the far left corner, underneath the ! Block.

    Bounce up and hit the ! Block three times to spawn all three Platform Blocks.

    As you move back south, use the momentum to get up onto the elevated platform on your left.

    Run to the back of this platform and hit the ? Blocks for coins.

    Run back to the south-east part of this room and up the Platform Blocks.

    Jump north onto the first rubber platform and then north to the next one.

    Jump up onto the platform to your right.

    Jump up onto the small pillar and hit the ? Block for coins.

    Stomp the five-high Goomba stack to your right without touching the ground for a 1-Up.

    Jump over the gap where the stack was and hit the ? Block until it runs out of coins.

    Hit the ! Block three times then climb up the steps on the right side of the room, onto the stack of Platform blocks and up onto the ledge on your left.

    Stomp the Inky Piranha Plant and hit the ! Block three times.

    Climb up the Platform Blocks and up onto the platform on your right.

    Hit the ! Block three times here as well and move across the bridge that it creates.

    Stomp the four-high Goomba stack.

    Jump up onto the orange platform and then right onto the blue one.

    Hit the Large ? Block and grab the Fire Flower that pops out.

    Move over to the large orange wall on your left. Go to the back wall and collect the two coins.

    Star Coin Alert! #2: Crawl into the small gap at the base of the left wall and move left until you fall down into a room containing a Star Coin. Grab it and then jump on the rubber platform at the back of the room to get shot up to a platform containing a Green Clock. Grab it and fall off the right edge onto the orange platforms.

    Move to your right and jump onto the rubber platform.

    When you fly through the gap, fall to the right platform.

    Take out the three Goombas stacked in a tower.

    Star Coin Alert! #3: Hit the ! Block three times. Wall jump between the right wall and the platform blocks you just created. Once you reach the top, hop onto the top platform blocks, jump up and grab the Star Coin, and fall back down to the ground.

    Jump over the gap and up the steps.

    Stomp the Inky Piranha Plant.

    Keep going up the steps to your left.

    Jump onto the rubber platform, collect the coins as you shoot up, and then keep jumping from rubber platform to rubber platform until you're at the top.

    Enter the Warp Pipe.

SECRET EXIT!

Instead of jumping up the four Rubber Platforms and entering the Warp Pipe at the top, perform a large jump on the third platform. You'll be shot nearly off-screen. At the peak of your jump, wall jump off of the wall to your left. Now wall jump off of the off-screen wall to Mario's right, then once more off of the wall to your left. You should have jumped onto a secret platform above.

Once you're on the secret platform, move right. Continue until you see a room with an orange Warp Pipe below you. Drop down into the room and enter the Warp Pipe. You'll pop out at the beginning of World 5!

Hit the ! Block to your left four times. Jump up the platform blocks, get a run up and jump off the right edge. You need to be Tanooki Mario to reach the top of the Goal Pole.

Tips
  • To get the first 1-Up, stomp all five Goombas in the stack without touching the ground.
  • The Fire Flower is located on a blue platform after hitting a Large ? Block.
  • The secret exit leads directly to World 5.
  • You need to be Tanooki Mario to reach the top of the Goal Pole.
