    Complete the quests Sea of Blood and Shadows of Minrathous.

    Meet the First Warden during the transitional quest In Peace, Vigilance.

    Talk to Varric in The Lighthouse. Harding will interrupt and mention a married Warden couple. This quest starts after speaking with these dwarves.

    Head to the Crossroads and find a new eluvian on the eastern edge of Beacon Island. Take the northernmost dock to reach the Heights of Athim.

    Explore the Heights of Athim, then venture northeast through ruins and up stairs to a snowy area with mine tracks. Follow the tracks into a mineshaft to the west.
