Complete guide to all Lighthouse chests and puzzles in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, including the Statue Puzzle, Wisp Music Room, Library Balcony Astrolabe, and Watchtower beam puzzle.
This guide covers all the chests and puzzles within the Lighthouse area in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, including the Statue Puzzle, Wisp Music Room, Library Balcony Astrolabe, and Watchtower beam puzzle.
Lighthouse Statue Puzzle - Unlocking the Music Room:
To unlock the Music Room, located to the right of the table in the Library, you must solve a puzzle involving six statues in the main courtyard. These statues come in pairs and must be rotated to face each other.
- First Pair: One statue is behind the Workshop (first left from the entrance), and the other is behind the Study (second left from the entrance). Access the Workshop statue by walking around the left side of the building. To reach the Study statue, go under the building by dropping to the platforms below the bridge.
- Second Pair: Find one statue to the right of the Dining Hall (furthest east building) at the top of the stairs; rotate it west. Go back to the main entrance, ascend the curved stairs to the left, and find the second statue. Rotate it to face the Dining Hall statue (east).
- Third Pair: Locate both remaining statues on the balcony above the main entrance. Rotate them to face each other. An unlocking sound will indicate success.
After completing the statue puzzle, enter the main building and proceed to the Library. The Music Room will be unlocked to the right of the table.
Wisp Music Room Puzzle:
Inside the Music Room, you'll find a piano and a circular door with two pedestals. To open the door, find a Wisp located outside above the main entrance, between the two statues you rotated last. If the Wisp is not present, progress the main story until it appears (meeting Emmrich is recommended). Quickly bring the Wisp to the Music Room and place it on the right pedestal. This will open the circular door, revealing a portal.
Library Balcony:
Enter the portal to reach the Library Balcony. Jumping off the balcony here unlocks the “Nostalgia Trip” achievement. On the balcony, you will find a small chest, materials, a lore note, a Wisp, and a globe-like object. Interact with this object to fix the Astrolabe, which will restore it and grant a discount on Workshop Upgrades and 500 Caretaker Points. Pick up the Wisp and place it on the pedestal opposite the portal to reveal another portal.
Watchtower Puzzle:
Go through the new portal to arrive in the Watchtower area. Immediately to your right, you will find a chest and a lore note. Open the chest. To activate the next puzzle, place the small Power Crystal (a floating triangle object) onto the nearby relic device.
Next, direct the beam from the powered device onto three floating diamond devices: one to the north (slightly above), one to the right of that, and one to the left of the first. The last diamond may be harder to find; from the central diamond, rotate left and look down. Once all three diamonds are powered, they will emit wisps.
Return to the first floor of the Library in the main building and enter the small circular door to the left of the table (opposite the Music Room). This leads to a corridor with another portal. Go through this portal to reach “The Wolf’s Den,” Solas’ personal room.
