Loyal Friends Quest Walkthrough

Find the Quest Giver: Head back to the Veil Jumpers Camp in the Arlathan Forest. You'll need to be at the main quest 'Signs and Portents' to access this. Interact with Taynore’s Journal to start the 'Loyal Friends' quest.

Locate the Missing Jumpers: Fast travel to Ruins Reach. Cross the branch to the east, then head north into the Shadowy Grove. Look for a Nameless Building to the west.

Clear the Path: Inside the Nameless Building, you'll find boils blocking your way. Shoot the boil blocking the main doorway. Move to the right and shoot another boil on the left wall. Then, climb up the ledge and shoot a third boil on the roof.

Investigate the Corpse: Once on the roof, investigate the corpse you find there. Sadly, one of the Veil Jumpers didn't survive.

Open the Next Path: Shoot the boil directly opposite you on the roof. Then, make your way back to the beginning of the area and shoot the now accessible boil to open the path on the left.

Confront Blighted Taynore: Unfortunately, Taynore has become blighted. You'll need to defeat them to prevent them from harming anyone else. Start by stripping their shield using ranged attacks. If you're a Rogue, use your Bow; a Warrior can use Shield Toss; and a Mage can use their Staff.

Deal Damage: Whenever Taynore becomes vulnerable, use combo attacks. Weave in fire-based attacks, as this is their elemental weakness.

Find Gus: After dealing with the enemies, you'll need to find Gus. Head around the corner and interact with the friendly nug. This will trigger a cutscene.
