Learn how to conquer the Alcarnus Stronghold in Diablo IV's Kehjistan. This guide details defeating Rashta, her Simulacrums, and destroying Necrotic Masses.
Alcarnus is located in Kehjistan, north of Tarsarak and south of Jirandi, between the Amber Sands and Scouring Sands. You'll likely encounter it during the main quest. Two routes lead to its southern edge, but the first objective is on the northern side.
Walkthrough
- 1Enter Alcarnus and head north, defeating enemies. You'll notice invulnerable Necrotic Masses.
- 2Proceed to the "Lair of the Witch" and confront Rashta. She attacks with weak bone spirits. After defeating her, read the Medical Notes and Research Notes she leaves behind.
- 3Return to Alcarnus and destroy the northernmost Necrotic Mass. This will spawn a Simulacrum of Rashta.
- 4Defeat the first Simulacrum of Rashta. She uses bone spirits and a Miasmic Pulse that creates a damaging aura and expels chunks in expanding arcs.
- 5Locate the second Necrotic Mass southeast of the first. Clear the area of enemies before destroying it, as an Elite may spawn.
- 6Defeat the second Simulacrum of Rashta. This version uses a Necrotic Storm, conjuring rings of necrotic energy that bombard an area and then tighten around you. Dodge these rings carefully.
- 7Find the third Necrotic Mass on the southern end of Alcarnus. Expect two Elite enemies to spawn during the fight.
- 8Defeat the third Simulacrum of Rashta. This one uses a Spectral Wave attack, creating persistent strips of spectral energy that restrict movement.
- 9After defeating all three Simulacrums, return to the Lair of the Witch to face Rashta Reborn.
- 10Rashta Reborn uses all previous attacks (Bone Spirit, Miasmic Pulse, Necrotic Storm, Spectral Wave) and adds a new one: summoning Imperfect Clones to distract you.
- 11Defeat Rashta Reborn.
- 12Interact with the Wanderer's Shrine to conquer Alcarnus.
Tips
- Be aware that egg sacks will burst into Fly Swarms and Skittering Abominations after you exit the Lair of the Witch passage.
- When fighting the Simulacrums, clearing surrounding enemies first can make the subsequent boss fight easier.
- The Spectral Wave attack from the third Simulacrum is considered the least dangerous, but still requires careful positioning.
- Rashta Reborn's Imperfect Clones are primarily for distraction; focus on dodging her main attacks and damaging her directly.
