Acquiring Sigil Powder: The primary method to obtain Sigil Powder in diablo iv is by dismantling unwanted Nightmare Sigils at the Occultist. These chests may award crafting materials like Sigil Powder, Abstruse Sigil, and Angelbreath, alongside gear.

Spending Sigil Powder: Sigil Powder can be used in two main ways. Firstly, you can craft new Nightmare Sigils at the Occultist. This allows you to obtain random sigils with varying levels, affixes, and dungeons, particularly useful when transitioning to World Tier 4 to acquire sigils that function in that tier and beyond (sigils only go up to rank 20 in World Tier 3). Secondly, Sigil Powder is used for seasonal mechanics. In Season 1, spending 50 Sigil Powder upgrades an Invoker of Varshan to a Foul Invoker of Varshan, enabling you to fight the Echo of Varshan boss in Malignant Tunnels on World Tier 3 onwards. Defeating this boss is necessary to unlock the Uber Varshan boss.
