Diablo 4 Ashava: Location & Tactics

Location:

Ashava, the world boss in Diablo 4, can be found in the Fractured Peaks. A timer on the right of the screen, below the minimap, indicates when she will spawn. The map also provides details on her spawn location and timing. She typically appears in the Crucible, a large, open area within the zone. When the event begins, Ashava emerges from a pool in the ground, and the camera zooms out to accommodate her size and attack range. Players can engage her once her animation is complete. The Fractured Peaks can be accessed through the game's storyline or explored freely. The area is located in the top-right portion of the playable map.

Players can join the encounter after it starts, as Ashava's difficulty scales with the number of players present. Participation ensures rewards.

Tactics & Strategy:

It is recommended to be around Level 25 before attempting to fight Ashava, as lower-level players are susceptible to being one-shot. Ashava employs a variety of attacks:

• Forearm Blades: Ashava uses her bony arm blades for basic attacks and wide cleaves that players must dodge.
• Claw Slam: She raises her claws, marking a target area on the floor with a thin gray circle. After 1-2 seconds, she slams her claws down, damaging anyone within the marked zone.
• Drag: Following a Claw Slam, Ashava may drag her claws sideways, hitting players on her flanks. Move away from her sides to avoid this.
• Charge / Jump: Ashava charges or jumps around the battlefield, requiring players to move out of the way.
• Chomp: She turns to face a player, pulls her neck back, and lunges forward to chomp. The targeted player should move out of range.
• Degree Spin: Ashava raises a claw and spins 360 degrees, hitting players with her arm. Players need to either outrange or outpace her. Variations of 90 and 180 degrees also exist.
• Poison Pools: She breathes poison clouds that linger on the ground, creating pools that force players to reposition. These pools persist for a significant duration.

Additionally, Ashava has a stagger meter (a gray bar below her HP). This meter fills as players use skills with Crowd Control (CC) effects. When the stagger meter is full, Ashava is temporarily stunned, providing a window for players to unleash their full build and combos.
