Rites of Anubis

Follow our step-by-step Assassin's Creed Origins walkthrough for the Rites of Anubis quest, including torch locations, item discoveries, and rewards.

Walkthrough:

1. Start the Quest: Travel west of the Tomb of Sneferu to the village of Nitria. Locate Nefertari northeast of the town's fast travel point and speak with her. Bayek learns that Anubis is displeased, causing fires and contagion, and he is blamed. To set things right, Bayek must relight three torches.
2. Locate Torches: Use Senu to mark the three torch locations: north, south, and east. The northern torch is the closest, the southern one is near a Hyena Lair, and the eastern one is near the Bent Pyramid of Sneferu.
3. Northern Torch: Head north and climb cliffs to find the northern torch. It has been knocked over and is missing its head. Use your Animus Pulse to investigate. Examine the blood nearby, noting signs of struggle and a broken fence. The other tagged objects are in a pit to the northeast. Drop down and examine more blood on rocks, then dive into the water to investigate a floating body. Dive underwater and retrieve the Broken Ceremonial Lamp Piece from the pool floor. Climb back up, repair the torch, and light it. Bayek finds a Charm of Anubis.
4. Hyena Lair & Southern Torch: Return to Nitria and travel south-southwest to the site of the second torch, near a Hyena Lair. Clear out the hyenas inside and outside the lair. You can perch on tall rocks to the south of the lair and shoot them. After defeating the hyenas, enter their lair and search southeast for a small cave containing a red chest. Loot it. Head southwest under a clothesline with bloody clothes to find the next torch. Examine the Charm of Anubis on the ground and a nearby pig carcass, which suggests sabotage rather than divine anger. Light the torch.
5. Eastern Torch: Head east from the Hyena Lair or southeast from Nitria towards the Bent Pyramid of Sneferu. Enter the elevated opening on the western side of the pyramid and proceed to the chamber where Bayek fought Rudjek. Light the torch.
6. Return to Nefertari: After lighting all three torches, return to Nitria and go to the shrine of Anubis overlooking the city. Approach Nefertari to trigger a conversation. She explains little about the torches but assigns Bayek a new task: escorting a healer named Suphia to aid rebels. This concludes the
