Complete The Hungry River quest in assassins creed origins. Deal with angry hippos, clear Patamos Hideout, and rescue Meketre.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the previous quest, travel southwest to a fork in the road and speak with Jahra to learn about bandits disturbing hippos in the peasant fields.
  2. 2
Travel south-southeast to the fields to retrieve four corpses marked as quest objectives. Be aware of hippopotami (levels 12-13) in the area. Two headshots from a Predator Bow should be sufficient to take down a hippo.
  3. 3
Drag all four bodies back to the village.
  4. 4
After recovering the bodies, Bayek decides to hunt down the bandits, known as the Hungry Great Ones.
  5. 5
Ride southwest, ford the river, and take the first right (west) uphill towards white towers. Synchronize with a fast travel point.
  6. 6
Use Senu to locate the objective in the canyon to the west.
  7. 7
Perform a leap of faith and travel west on foot to reach Patamos Hideout.
  8. 8
Sneak around any hippos and carry the bodies to the marker. Clear any hippos too close to the bodies with your bow if necessary.
  9. 9
Clear out Patamos Hideout: kill the captain (level 14) and loot the treasure. There are numerous lower-level henchmen (levels 12-14). Use the high ground to your advantage by shooting down into the camp.
  10. 10
Drop to the lowest level of the canyon camp and head to the west-northwestern edge to find a cubby with a large red chest. Loot it for the treasure.
  11. 11
Find Meketre in his cage at the far end of the camp and free him.
  12. 12
Follow Meketre as he flees the canyon.
  13. 13
Talk to Meketre to learn that the bandit leader has gone to his village.
  14. 14
Follow the road back northeast to the farm where you gathered bodies earlier, then continue east to Meketre's village.
  15. 15
Charge into the village and defeat the bandits (levels 13-14).
  16. 16
Talk to Meketre in his village to complete the quest.

Ptolemy Statue:

East of Meketre's village, you can find and destroy a Ptolemy Statue for 300 XP. You can also claim a nearby fast travel point to the northeast.

Tips
  • Two headshots from a Predator Bow should suffice to bring down a hippo.
  • Use the high ground when attacking Patamos Hideout to pick off enemies from above.
  • Don't get too secure while shooting from above; bandits can climb up to investigate.
  • Looting the red chest in Patamos Hideout completes the location objectives if the captain is dead.
  • There is no time for stealth or caution when bandits attack Meketre's village; charge into the fray.
