Complete walkthrough for the 'Playing with Fire' quest in Assassin's Creed Origins, including Kyrenaika Roman Citadel infiltration, treasure locations, and Kade's rescue.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Use Senu to locate Kade, the citadel’s two captains (level 34), commander (level 35), and four treasures within the Kyrenaika Roman Citadel, located east of the aqueduct.
  2. 2
The citadel is divided into the upper citadel (tallest fortified section), lower citadel (east of the upper part), and an outer camp (south and southeast). Ignore the outer camp as it contains no treasures or officers.
  3. 3
For infiltration, use a pit on the western edge of the citadel, between the aqueduct and the citadel, to access caverns. Follow these to a corpse-storage pit, allowing entry into the upper citadel, near a building under the alarm brazier.
  4. 4
Alternatively, climb the high walls of the upper citadel at almost any point. Patrol the top, eliminating soldiers, then use the height advantage to drop down on isolated enemies in the courtyard below. Repeat this process for the lower citadel.
  5. 5
The lower citadel is more challenging due to frequent patrols on the courtyard road. Patience and archery can help overcome enemy density.
  6. 6
After clearing the upper and lower citadels, loot the area.
  7. 7
Treasure #1: In the lower citadel, enter a building along the wall near the eastern gate. Search the southeastern end for a large red chest.
  8. 8
Treasure #2: Climb atop the building from Treasure #1. Look northwest to find a bridge leading to another building. Enter, go upstairs, and search the western corner of the upstairs room behind a curtain for a white chest.
  9. 9
Treasure #3: From the building with Treasure #2, head southwest to stairs leading up to the upper citadel’s gate. Pass through the gate, turn north to find a barracks containing a red chest.
  10. 10
Treasure #4: Exit the barracks. From the upper citadel’s gate, head west up stairs, continue west into a building with a door near wooden stairs. Search a table in the northern corner for a small white chest.
  11. 11
After looting, in the same building as Treasure #4 (upper citadel), find a letter on the desk to start the quest “Carpe Diem”.
  12. 12
Sneak to the camp outside the southern side of the citadel to find Kade’s cage. Kill nearby Roman soldiers before freeing him.
  13. 13
Free Kade. He will task you with freeing other captives and leading them to safety. Escort the captives a fair distance from the citadel.
  14. 14
Talk to Kade again. He will reveal Vitruvius’s involvement in creating a weapon of war.
  15. 15
Return to Vitruvius near the aqueduct and talk to him. Follow him when he rides towards the citadel to learn more about the weapon and his cession of responsibility to General Agrippa.
