Complete the Carpe Diem quest in assassins creed origins by freeing Apate and slaying Severus. Rewards include 2,250 XP.
- 1General Agrippa has ordered the commander of the Prasinos Outpost to crucify prisoners. Locate the Prasinos Outpost between Kyrenaika Roman Outpost and the Oracle of Apollo. The crucifixion site is along the road south of the outpost.
- 2Kill any Romans that become aggressive. Use Senu to locate the freedom fighter, Apate, who is tied up on a platform east of the road.
- 3Kill the Romans near Apate, free her, and follow her to safety.
- 4Apate will ask you to kill Severus, the commander of Prasinos Outpost.
- 5Ride back north to Prasinos Outpost. Use Senu to spot Severus (level 35).
- 6Warning: It is easier to wait for Severus to leave the camp. Rest until night and wait for Severus to leave the camp with a small escort. Follow him at a safe distance to the Oracle of Apollo.
- 7When Severus dismounts, he will be much easier to kill. Perform a simple assassination.
- 8Upon Severus's death, the quest will end and you will obtain some Orders to Brutus.
Prasinos Outpost:
After Severus and his guards are dead, you can clear out Prasinos Outpost. Make your way back south to the camp. Use Senu to locate the captain (level 36), the commander (level 37), and both of the camp’s treasures.
If it is still night, many guards on the eastern edge of the camp will be sleeping. You can circle around to the eastern edge, climb down the cliffs, and eliminate them. During the day, there is a garden behind the tents near the cliff where you can hide.
From the east, head to the northeastern gate and climb the watch tower there. Clear the guards, then walk across a rope to another tower above the commander’s tent. The grass near the commander's tent is a good spot to eliminate nearby foes.
If you thin the ranks enough, make your way to another watch tower to the southwest, which has the alarm brazier. After all Romans are dead, grab the treasure and free any civilians trapped in the center of the outpost.
One treasure, a small white box, is in the commander’s tent. The other treasure is in a tent along the eastern end of the camp, near the flower garden by the cliffs.
- Waiting for Severus to leave the camp at night makes the assassination significantly easier.
- Clearing Prasinos Outpost after dealing with Severus allows for easier stealth takedowns, especially at night.
- Use Senu frequently to locate high-value targets and treasures within the outpost.
- For completing the quest “Carpe Diem”: 2,250 XP
- For completing the Prasinos Outpost: 900 XP
