Once he's performed his first concert, Isabelle will make an announcement the very next day about new island features, including Ordinances.

Enacting an Ordinance isn't free, but it's not too steep. It'll cost you 20,000 Bells, which is totally manageable once your island is thriving at three stars. It's a small price to pay for some pretty significant changes!

Ordinance Options

There are four different Ordinances you can choose from, and picking the right one really depends on what you enjoy most in the game. Let's break them down:

• Beautiful Island Ordinance: This one's a game-changer for keeping your island looking pristine. Villagers will be more diligent about watering flowers and plants, flowers will stop dying altogether, and you'll find fewer weeds popping up. Plus, you won't fish up trash anymore! It's perfect if you tend to take breaks from the game; you can return without worrying about your island becoming overgrown or your flowers wilting.
• Early Bird Ordinance: If you're an early riser who likes to get started on island life before the sun is fully up, this is for you. Villagers will wake up an hour or two earlier, and shops like Nook's Cranny and the Able Sisters will open their doors exactly one hour sooner.
• Night Owl Ordinance: The flip side of the Early Bird Ordinance! This one's great for evening players. Villagers will stay up an hour or two later, and shops will remain open an extra hour past their usual closing time.
• Bell Boom Ordinance: Want to boost your earnings? This Ordinance makes shops buy and sell items for 20% more. It's a fantastic way to make more Bells when you're looking to sell off items from your inventory or storage.
