This is your very first achievement related to the museum, and it's super simple to get. All you need to do is dig up your first fossil. Make sure you've got your trusty shovel equipped, and keep an eye out for those tell-tale cracks in the ground. That's your signal that a fossil is buried there!

Fossil Assessment

Once you've dug up some fossils, the next big step is getting them assessed by Blathers. This is how you find out exactly what you've unearthed! Even if you've already filled out the museum's fossil exhibit, keep assessing them. Selling unassessed fossils doesn't get you many Bells, and honestly, the more fossils you get Blathers to identify, the more Nook Miles you'll rack up!

True Patron of the Arts

Ready to bring some culture to your island? To even get access to Redd and his shady art dealings, you'll first need to have donated a solid 60 items to the museum. This donation threshold is what unlocks the museum's art wing. Redd usually pops by once or twice a week, and when he does, you'll have the chance to buy one piece of art from him – either a painting or a sculpture.

Once you've snagged a piece, you can donate it to the museum if it's the real deal!

Faked Out!

Now, here's where things get a little tricky: Redd isn't always selling genuine masterpieces. Some of his art is actually fake! While there are guides out there to help you spot fakes, sometimes you might slip up. The achievement 'Faked Out!' is unlocked when you actually show Blathers a counterfeit painting. So, don't sweat it too much if you accidentally donate a fake – it's part of the process!
