How to Unlock the School Facility

After completing about four vacation home designs, Lottie will suggest taking a break to explore the island.

When you're done exploring, return to the facility building (left of the Paradise Planning reception) and speak to Lottie. She'll mention empty facilities and suggest the current one would make a great school, but a larger client base is needed first.

Return to the Planning building, speak to Lottie to resume work, and find another client.

Complete two more vacation home designs to be promoted to 'Promising Designer'. This requires a total of six vacation home designs, plus completing mini-tasks like learning about Niko's DIYs and furniture polishing.

After completing six vacation homes, Lottie will ask you to help design the school facility.

First, redesign the school's exterior by choosing the roofing, exterior, door, and bell tower colors. You can change these later by remodeling.

Upon entering the school, you'll find a small room with a podium. Lottie will demonstrate how to expand the room size.

Enter decorating mode and press the left button on the D-pad to access the room resizing feature. The room can be adjusted from its initial 6x6 size to anywhere between 4x4 and 10x10, or made rectangular by adjusting only width or length.

Decorate the school. You must include at least one teacher's desk, two desks, and four chairs. The game offers a wide selection of items that qualify for these roles.

The order tab provides school-themed furniture recommendations. Decorate the walls and ceilings as well.

Once finished furnishing, speak to Lottie. She will ask you to choose a teacher from villagers you've designed vacation homes for and alter their uniform.

Finally, you will be asked to name the school and take portfolio pictures.
