How to Unlock Partition Walls:

Alright, so you can't just get these right off the bat. First things first, you'll need to have designed enough vacation homes to unlock the ability to design the school. Once the school is available, you'll learn a new tool there that lets you adjust the size of rooms. After you've got that room-adjusting tool under your belt, Niko will get inspired about something new – partition walls! He won't spill the beans immediately, though. You'll need to complete one more client's vacation home after finishing the school. So, that means you'll unlock the partition walls on your 8th vacation home overall (that's after completing 7 homes before it).

Using Partition Walls:

Once unlocked, you'll find the 'Paradise Planning partition wall' in your inventory. They work a lot like other furniture items – you can move them around and rotate them to divide your rooms however you like, either vertically or horizontally. To add one, just open your inventory while in decorating mode, head to the 'other' tab (it's the one with the three dots icon), and you should see them right at the top, assuming your inventory isn't sorted alphabetically.

Important Notes:

• You can't change the color or wallpaper on partition walls; they'll automatically match the existing walls of the room.
• Unfortunately, you also can't hang items like pictures or decorations on partition walls.

Pro Tip: Don't forget that you can always go back to previously designed vacation homes and add partition walls or resize rooms! Any new techniques you learn can be applied to older projects, so your design skills can keep improving.
