Buying from Saharah

Learn how to buy rugs and get mysterious wallpaper/flooring from Saharah in animal crossing new horizons. Rugs cost 1,000-2,000 bells and give exchange tickets.

Saharah visits your island approximately once a week in animal crossing new horizons, offering a selection of rugs, mysterious wallpapers, and flooring. She will have one style of each rug size available during her visit.

Buying Rugs

You can purchase rugs in small, medium, or large sizes. A small rug costs 1,000 bells, a medium rug costs 1,500 bells, and a large rug costs 2,000 bells. To collect all available rugs, it is recommended to buy one of each size every time Saharah visits.

As a bonus for buying rugs, Saharah gives you exchange tickets. Saving up 5 exchange tickets allows you to trade them in for either a mysterious wallpaper or a mysterious flooring. A small rug grants 1 ticket, a medium rug grants 2 tickets, and a large rug grants 3 tickets. After using your tickets, you can purchase the other item (wallpaper or flooring) for 3,000 bells.

This week, Saharah offered a shanty mat (large), black blocks rug (medium), and a yellow-design kitchen mat (small).

Placing Rugs

The easiest way to place rugs is by opening the decorating function using the down button on the D pad. This allows you to precisely choose the rug's placement and orientation. Unlike furniture in your home, rugs cannot be moved freely once placed.

Mysterious Wallpaper and Flooring

While Saharah sometimes offers matching wallpapers and flooring, it is uncommon to receive a complete set in the same week. The wallpapers and flooring she provides are often unconventional and differ from the styles available at Nook's Cranny. For example, this week Saharah was offering the Construction Wall and the Sidewalk flooring.
