[7-6] Weapons that use energy

Learn about energy weapons in Total Annihilation, including CORE units and building-attached weapons that consume energy reserves.

The CORE (Central Operations Research Defense) units in Total Annihilation are the only ones that require energy to fire their weapons. Additionally, all other weapons that need energy to operate are attached to buildings.

If you have sufficient energy to allow these weapons to fire, each discharge will subtract the required amount from your total energy reserve. If a large number of these energy-dependent weapons are firing simultaneously, it is possible to completely deplete your energy reserves, rendering them inoperable.
