Guide your forces through The Gate To Aegus in Total Annihilation. Learn to leverage aircraft and naval power for a swift victory through attrition.
Walkthrough
- 1You'll start with no construction capability for Kbots or vehicles, so don't even bother trying to build those plants – they just take up valuable space. Your focus here is pure attrition, primarily with aircraft, though you can dabble in ships if you feel like it.
- 2Don't expect to be attacked right away. You've got a good chunk of time to build up your economy. Use your construction aircraft to build metal extractors on the two small islands to the north.
- 3As soon as you can, convert those metal extractors into more efficient Moho mines. With a few metal makers built early on, you should be able to get an advanced aircraft plant up and running. This will allow you to start building Moho mines and fusion plants relatively quickly, setting you up for a strong economy.
- 4Once your air force is ready, use torpedo bombers to take out the ARM ships. Before you send them in, though, use strategic bombers to clear out the Defenders on the main northern island. This is crucial to prevent your torpedo bombers from taking heavy losses.
- 5Keep an eye out for amphibious tanks. If you have two or three Finks patrolling the middle of the map, they'll give you an early warning. Use your torpedo bombers to intercept and destroy these tanks before they can reach your shores.
- 6Any amphibious tanks that do manage to land can be easily dealt with using your D-gun. Just make sure to keep those Finks on patrol for that early warning system!
Tips
- Since you can't build ground units, maximizing your air and naval power is key.
- Don't neglect your economy; building up Moho mines and fusion plants early will pay dividends.
- Use strategic bombers to soften up defenses before committing your torpedo bombers.
- Finks are excellent early warning systems for incoming amphibious threats.
