[2-9] The Commander

Learn about The Commander, the fastest construction unit in Total Annihilation, and how to use it to speed up advanced building.

The Commander is the fastest of all construction units in Total Annihilation, moving approximately 5 times faster than Level 1 construction units and 2 to 3 times faster than advanced construction units.

While the Commander can only build basic structures on its own, a useful trick allows it to speed up the construction of advanced buildings. To do this, start an advanced building with another construction unit, then bring the Commander over to assist. Once the Commander is working on it, the original construction unit can be sent off to perform other tasks.
