- 1You'll start off in the Churning Room. Grab the Pistol and medikit right next to you. Head down the ramp. As soon as you do, two Troopers will warp in on an incline nearby. Take 'em out. After that, grab the box of Shotgun Shells at the base of the ramp.
- 2Now, you need to run across the acid pit. Head behind the turning machine and hit the switch. After that, run up the other incline. You'll see a group of three Troopers. Toss a Pipebomb into them to clear them out. Near the entrance of this area, there's a compartment containing Protective Boots. Make sure you grab those!
- 3As you head towards the entrance, a door behind you will open, revealing two more Troopers and some Body Armor. Deal with them, then move on.
- 4Next up is the Acid Pit Room. There's a small pool of acid here, with some Shotgun Shells scattered around. If you're brave (or desperate for ammo), you can dive into the pool to find a Shotgun at the bottom. Be warned though, there are one or two Octabrains in there. It might be a good idea to toss a few Pipebombs in first to clear them out. Remember this pit, it's important later.
- 5You'll then reach The Spiral. There are some Small Medikits and Pistol Ammo on the ground around the base of this large spiral ramp. Circle around the bottom and take out the Troopers you find there. You might be taking laser fire from Mounted Guns; your RPG is the best way to deal with those.
- 6Start heading up the spiral ramp. You'll find more Small Medikits and have to contend with more Troopers on your way up.
- 7At the very top of the spiral, you'll find some buttons and a Chaingun Cannon with some ammo cases. To open the door across the bridge, you need to enter the correct code on the buttons: X O X X.
- 8Finally, you'll enter the Command Room. As soon as you open the door, you'll be attacked by three Captains. Take them down. Inside the room, you'll find a Small Medikit, some Shotgun Shells, and the Blue Key you've been looking for! There's also a switch that will disable the forcefield for "Path 01".
Tips
- Don't forget to grab the Protective Boots in the Churning Room; they'll save you from taking damage in acid pits later on.
- The Octabrains in the Acid Pit Room can be tough. Using Pipebombs is a good way to weaken or kill them before you dive in for the Shotgun.
- Keep an eye out for the Mounted Guns on the Spiral. They can put out a lot of damage if you don't take them out with your RPG.
