[02-04-10] Indestructible Guns

Learn about Duke Nukem 3D's indestructible wall-mounted laser and shrink ray guns, and how to use them to progress.

Unlike the destructible Mounted Gun (a weapon that can be picked up and used), there are weapons mounted directly to walls in Duke Nukem 3D. These weapons fire continuous streams of either laser blasts or shrink ray bursts. They fire without prejudice, meaning they will hit anything in their path. You can try to maneuver enemies in front of them to your benefit. These wall-mounted weapons cannot be destroyed in any way. However, you may sometimes be able to use a physical feature of the level to block their fire.

Some levels require that you use the Indestructible Shrink Ray gun to progress through the level. You are entirely vulnerable in this state, so be wary of what you do while shrunk.
