[07-03-01] Game Introduction

Duke Nukem 3D's intro shows aliens attacking Los Angeles and mutating the LAPD after Duke saves Earth again.

You can access this screen by pressing F1 in-game or waiting through the opening movies (visual sequences that play before gameplay). Duke muses about needing a break after defeating the Rigelatins and saving Earth. His thoughts are interrupted by a plasmatic blast that hits his cruiser. Klaxons and warning lights activate, and static fills his monitors. He attempts to use his comms when a Mayday transmission comes through reporting that Los Angeles is under attack by aliens who have mutated the LAPD. The transmission cuts out, and Duke's ship narrowly misses a skyscraper as he decides to engage the aliens.
