Learn how Duke Nukem 3D teleportation pads work, including shooting through them and performing a Tele-Frag.

Teleportation pads are square pads with a white beam in the middle that will transport you to another location on the map. You can shoot weapons with the Projectile quality through the teleporters, as well as pipebombs. This can lead to some devious strategic shooting, though beware - enemies that shoot projectiles can exploit this too!

Duke can perform what is known to FPS players as the "Tele-Frag" (a special kill performed by teleporting into an enemy's space). If an enemy is sitting on a teleportation pad, stepping through the other end of the teleporter will cause Duke to land within the same space that the enemy occupies, reducing them to giblets. Careful though - if you are in a DukeMatch (a multiplayer game mode), you can be a victim of a Tele-Frag yourself!

Tips
  • Use teleporters to surprise enemies by shooting projectiles through them.
  • Be aware that enemies can also shoot projectiles through teleporters.
  • To perform a Tele-Frag, ensure an enemy is standing on the teleporter pad before you use it.
  • In DukeMatch, be cautious of other players attempting to Tele-Frag you.
