[04-02-04] The Alien Queen

Alright, Duke, you've made it to the final boss of the game, the Alien Queen! She's a massive blue monstrosity chilling underwater in her fortress. This fight is a bit different, so pay attention.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Health: 6000
• Attacks: Electrocution (damages water), Squish (melee)
• Weaknesses: She's a big target, but her main threat is electrocuting the water around her. She also spawns Alien Drones and Octabrains.

Phases:

1. Initial Assault: The Queen starts surrounded by Drones and Octabrains. Your first priority is clearing these out.
2. Queen Engagement: Once the adds are dealt with, you can focus on the Queen.

Strategy:

• Gear Up: You won't need a jetpack, but Scuba Gear is highly recommended since the fight is underwater. Grab some Steroids to help counter the Shrink Ray blasts from the Drones, and make sure you've got your heavy hitters like the RPG and Devastator, plus plenty of ammo for your other weapons.
• Clear the Area: As soon as the fight starts, focus on the Octabrains and Alien Drones. Use your RPG or chaingun to take them out quickly. They'll just get in your way otherwise.
• Find Your Spot: Once the initial wave is down, maneuver yourself into one of the highest corners of the arena. This position makes it tough for the Alien Drones to reach you directly.
• Unload on the Queen: From your safe corner, focus fire on the Alien Queen. It'll take about 65 rockets' worth of damage, but be ready to switch to other weapons. She spawns more Drones, and you'll still get hit by Shrink Rays (hence the Steroids).
• Use the Environment: Notice the holes above you? You can surface through these to get air if your Scuba Gear runs out, grab some ammo from a secret area, and take a breather.
• Ammo Management: While the RPG is great, you'll burn through ammo fast. Be prepared to use your bullet-type weapons too, especially since you'll be auto-aiming at the constant stream of Drones.
• Don't Get Squished: Avoid getting too close, as her melee attack can instantly kill you.
