Complete the Search and Destroy mission in cyberpunk 2077. Decide whether to escape or rescue Takemura and find a legendary Sandevistan mod.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
You have a choice at the blue cross: head right to escape or left to rescue Takemura.
  2. 2
To Escape: Follow the quest trail. You will need to fight through Arasaka Assault Squad Soldiers in ruined rooms and a hallway. Be aware of an Arasaka Netrunner who can make firefights difficult.
  3. 3
To Rescue Takemura: Go left through a hole in the wall at the neon blue cross. Be cautious as many Arasaka soldiers are present beyond this point.
  4. 4
In the room just to the right of the blue cross (escape route), you can find a container with a legendary Sandevistan: Arasaka Software mod (a community-made modification that changes the game) and two Access Points (requiring Intelligence 3 and Intelligence 6).
  5. 5
If you chose to rescue Takemura, an Access Point (Intelligence 3) is on the wall near the hole in the wall.
  6. 6
After passing through the large red room (regardless of your choice), exit into an adjacent hallway with two more Arasaka soldiers. You can then head upstairs or turn right to exit outside, which abandons Takemura.
  7. 7
To continue the rescue, go upstairs and defeat three Arasaka soldiers in the hallway.
  8. 8
Reunite with Takemura in the room where you spoke with Hanako. He will be fighting Arasaka goons.
  9. 9
After clearing the enemies, Takemura will direct you to escape through some empty rooms to the right.
  10. 10
If you have double jump, you can bypass the enemy-filled red-lit room and stairs by jumping back up through the floors to rejoin Takemura.
  11. 11
Return to the hallway and defeat any Arasaka troopers that confront you; subtlety is no longer an option.
  12. 12
Follow the quest trail through a doorway to the right, then through some rooms, and drop down a hole in the floor.
  13. 13
Go downstairs and defeat the final group of Arasaka troopers.
  14. 14
Exit via double doors; this escape route leads to the same exit as if you had abandoned Takemura.
  15. 15
Once outside, you will experience a relic malfunction. Takemura will encourage you to go into hiding.

Laying Low at the Sunset Motel:

  1. Time will skip forward. Respond to Johnny's dialogue as you wish.
  2. When there is a knock at the door, open it to speak with Hanako (via her doll).
  3. After Hanako's doll leaves, exit the motel room to finish the job and Takemura's questline.
  4. The Main Jobs Nocturne Op55N1 and Tapeworm will begin. You must finish Tapeworm first, and Nocturne Op55N1 leads directly into the endgame quests.
Tips
  • Stealth headshots with silenced weapons can be effective, but enemy numbers and their alerted status make pure stealth difficult.
  • If your quickhacking ability is good, use stealth quickhacks like Contagion to soften up enemies.
  • The walls are thin enough for tech weapons to penetrate, allowing for ranged attacks.
  • Legendary Ping can be beneficial for stealth if attempting the rescue.
  • Enemies can't chase you through the wall if you choose the rescue path, allowing for potshots.
  • If you choose to abandon Takemura by exiting outside, you will skip the remainder of his rescue sequence.
  • Nocturne Op55N1 is the point of no return for the game.
  • To unlock all possible endings in cyberpunk 2077, you must complete Panam's questline (Riders on the Storm, With a Little Help from My Friends, Queen of the Highway), Johnny's questline (Tapeworm, Chippin' In), and Rogue's questline (Blistering Love).
  • Making friends with Johnny during Chippin' In requires specific dialogue choices.
