Lightning Breaks

Follow our guide to complete the Cyberpunk 2077 'Lightning Breaks' mission. Learn how to handle turret practice, drone combat, and power station objectives.

Alright, so you've just finished up the 'Ghost Town' mission, and now it's time to kick off 'Lightning Breaks.' Don't worry if you got sidetracked by something shiny like the Rayfield Caliburn – totally understandable! To get this quest rolling properly, though, you'll want to find Panam. She's hanging out in a garage not too far from the Sunset Motel.

Once you link up with Panam, she'll cook up a plan. It's the first time it'll feel like your investment in Rogue actually paid off, you know? After you've hashed out the details, hop into her ride. She'll take you to a bridge where you'll get to mess around with a mounted turret. Just blast some targets to get a feel for it, then you'll head over to the power station. Expect some banter with Johnny on the way.

Arriving at the power station, Panam will lay out the rest of the plan. You'll wait for your target AV to show up. When it's close, Panam will drive you to the right spot, but watch out – you'll get jumped by some combat drones on the approach. Take them down, and then Panam will get you inside the power station. Once you're out of the car, head over to the terminals and 'Overcharge' each one. After that, it's back in the vehicle.

Panam will then drive you to a cliff overlooking the whole area. After a bit more chatting, all you'll need to do is hit the button on the detonator when prompted. Boom! That's the end of 'Lightning Breaks,' and it seamlessly transitions right into the next mission, 'Life During Wartime.'
