Sabotaging Panam's Plan: You can tell Panam "We'll meet there." to meet her at the train station later. To sabotage, find Saul and tell him about Panam's plan using dialogue options like "Panam's got no idea I'm here." or "Idea with the Basilisk - it's shit." You can only abort by selecting "Rather not interfere." If you sabotage, the objective changes, Panam calls angrily, and Saul messages you to pick up a vehicle from the Sunset Motel. This rewards you with the Shion "Coyote" but locks you out of Panam's questline and romance.

Commandeering a Train: Meet Panam at the train station. You'll have a timed dialogue option that doesn't matter. Chat with the nomad vets (also doesn't matter). Follow Panam into the control tower and upstairs to the control room. Carol will inform you that you need punch cards. From the stairs, turn left into a room with "Locomotive Controls" on the right. Ignore them for now. Go through a doorway and search a cabinet drawer on the floor for the punch cards. Return to the previous room and use the Locomotive Controls terminal.

Romancing Panam: After the train sequence, return to Panam for a crucial dialogue. To set up romance, start with "Missed you." Avoid saying "Not doing it for free." when asked why you're helping. Later, at the campfire, when you declare you'll sleep, look for the option "Gotten kinda cold." (or "Scooch closer"). Seeing this option means romance is still possible, even if you don't pick it. If you picked "Not doing it for free." earlier, you might only see "Mad at me?" instead.

The Basilisk Heist: At dawn, get in Panam's truck. A complication arises: the train is too slow. You can optionally shoot the coupler between the two white train cars to detach one. Watch for two drones and Militech troopers defending the convoy. You can shoot them down or wait until you reach the convoy. After the turret guns down two foes, it malfunctions, forcing you to fight the rest of the convoy on foot (around a dozen Militech troopers and two drones, minus any you eliminated earlier).
