Trouble at Slateport

Navigate the chaos in Slateport City! Learn how to deal with Team Aqua/Magma's submarine heist and follow Stern to Lilycove.

Alright, so you've made it to Slateport City! Whether you just finished up at Mt. Pyre, Lilycove, or even Route 123, it's time to head back here to keep the story moving.

When you get to Slateport, make your way to the northeast part of town, near where you'd normally head out to Route 110. You'll see a crowd gathering, and then BAM! Team Aqua (or Team Magma, depending on your version) shows up and makes off with the submarine. Stern gets involved, and after he heads into the building, you'll want to follow him right in.

Inside, you'll run into the leader of the villainous team. They'll spill the beans about their hideout in Lilycove (super convenient, right?) and then send some Grunts to fight you. After that little scuffle, you'll leave Slateport with Stern, who apparently has his own private boat. Lucky you!

Once you arrive in Lilycove City, your first stop should be the Pokémon Center to heal up. Then, head down to the beach and Surf northeast into the cove. That's where the next part of your adventure awaits!

Local Trainers

Before you get into all the story stuff, you might have to deal with a couple of trainers. Here's who you'll face:

Omega Ruby

• Team Magma Grunt - Has a Mightyena (Lv. 36) and will give you 1,440$.
• Team Magma Grunt - Has a Numel (Lv. 34) and a Golbat (Lv. 34), and will give you 1,360$.

Alpha Sapphire

• Team Aqua Grunt - Has a Mightyena (Lv. 36) and will give you 1,440$.
• Team Aqua Grunt - Has a Carvanha (Lv. 34) and a Golbat (Lv. 34), and will give you 1,360$.
