Oldale Town

Welcome to Oldale Town in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire! Learn about Poké Marts, Pokémon Centers, and get free Potions to start your journey.

Alright, so you've just rolled into Oldale Town! It's a pretty small place, but it's super important because you'll get introduced to some key facilities here that you'll be using a lot. Think of it as your first real stop to get your bearings.

As soon as you arrive, a friendly guy from the Poké Mart will point out the blue-roofed building. These are your shops, kind of like the ones you might remember from Pokémon Centers in previous games, but now they're separate. Don't worry, the stock gets better as you progress, but for now, the main thing is that you'll be handed 10 Potions for free! These are clutch for healing up 20 HP per use when you're out adventuring and a Pokémon Center is nowhere in sight.

Speaking of Pokémon Centers, the man will also point out the red-roofed buildings. These are where you go to fully heal your entire party – HP, PP, status conditions, the works. You can even check if your Pokémon have the rare Pokérus! Plus, there's a PC inside where you can manage your Pokémon storage. Definitely swing by the Center to get your team topped up.

You can pop into the Poké Mart to buy more Potions if you want (they're $200 each), but honestly, with the 10 you just got plus the one you start with, you've got 11 already. That's plenty for now. It's probably a better idea to save your cash for things like Poké Balls later on. Once you're all set in Oldale Town, head north to Route 103 to continue your adventure!
