Walkthrough
- 1After healing up in Dewford Town, head north and then west to enter Granite Cave.
- 2As you make your way through the first floor (1F), keep an eye out for a Hiker. If you haven't already, talk to him to receive the TM05 (Flash). It's a good idea to teach this to one of your Pokémon, like Abra, even though you don't need it immediately.
- 3Continue north on 1F until you find the stairs leading down to B1F.
- 4On B1F, you'll soon encounter Steven Stone, the silver-haired man. He'll have a brief chat with you, accept the Letter you're carrying, and in return, he'll give you TM51 (Steel Wing).
- 5After Steven leaves, there isn't much else to do in Granite Cave for now, especially since you'll need the Mach Bike for later exploration. So, head back out of the cave.
- 6Once you're back in Dewford Town, find Mr. Briney and tell him you're ready to head to Slateport City.
Tips
- Granite Cave has several Pokémon you can encounter, including Zubat, Abra, Geodude, Makuhita, and Aron. Abra can be a decent Psychic-type if you missed out on Ralts earlier.
- The move Steel Wing (TM51) is a solid choice for Flying-type Pokémon, allowing them to deal effective damage against Rock-types.
