    In Victors Hollow, approach the tavern entrance. After a scene with familiar faces, Tressa learns about a treasure map.

    Find the merchant in front of the equipment shop in northern Victors Hollow. Purchase Edbart’s Shield from him.

    Return to the merchant who has Baltazar’s map and trade Edbart’s Shield for the map.

    Bring the map to the tavern to trigger more scenes, which leads Tressa to the Forgotten Grotto dungeon. Exit west of the tavern.

    Path to the Forgotten Grotto: Head west, ignoring the northern path, to find a chest with an Olive of Life.

    Continue north, bypassing the bridge, to find a chest with a Shadow Soulstone M.

    West of the save point, go north to a dead end with a chest containing an Energizing Pomegranate L.

    South of this passage, you'll find another split. The right path leads to a dead end with a purple chest containing the Sledgehammer.

    Continue west across a pier. Look left for a chest with an Olive of Life M.

    To the right before the top path (near where you crossed the pier), there is a chest with 15,000 Leaves.

    The last chest in the dungeon, containing a Vivifying Stone, is located to the right of the save point on a long trail.

    Head for the clearing past the save point to encounter the boss.

BOSS - Venomtooth Tiger

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Weak to: Spears, Bows, Fire, Light

Phases:

  1. The boss conjures a poison pool, making all its attacks inflict poison. It gains two extra shields upon recovering from a break, maxing out at 10 shields after doing this twice.
  2. At 50% HP, the boss uses Peerless Poison, causing a hazy effect. Characters under poison lose SP and BP.

Strategy:

  • The Venomtooth Tiger can perform two actions per turn and inflicts poison with most attacks, including the party-wide Sweep.
  • Use skills like Thief’s Shackle Foe to reduce its physical attack.
  • Increase party physical defense with Mercenaries from Hired Help.
