Cyrus' Second Chapter

Cyrus’ Chapter 2 begins in Quarrycrest, located in the Cliftlands. To reach it, travel west from South Bolderfall Pass to South Quarrycrest Pass. Upon arrival, explore the town for various items. Near the inn, a chest contains Pseudo Gold Ore. The man by the entrance offers the Smarter Bartering information, potentially leading to discounts with Tressa’s Purchase.

To the left of the save point, a man stands before a house. Avoid provoking or challenging him due to his high level, but a chest nearby holds Dubious Gold Ore. Continue west to the Provisioner, and climb the ramp behind it to find a building with a chest containing Wind Soulstone M. The western exit leads to the Road to Morlock’s Manse, which is not relevant now.

Kaia, Mother of Dragons (II)

Two Side Stories are available here. One, Kaia, Mother of Dragons (II), requires completion of the first part in Bolderfall and the assistance of either Primrose or Ophilia. You must first find the Egg Man. Behind Kaia is a ramp to the Quarrycrest Mines, where the tavern and equipment shop are located.

The old man behind the equipment shop, in the corner, is the Egg Man. Guide or Allure him to follow you, then return to Kaia in the lower area to complete the quest.

Two other Side Stories require travel to different cities and are postponed. To the left of the tavern, near two NPCs, is a chest with a Healing Grape Bunch. Across a nearby bridge, another chest holds an Herb of Valor. A final chest is located in the upper Mines area, past the Egg Man’s spot, containing Fool’s Gold Ore. The NPC near this chest sells the Silent Bandana headgear.

From the Far Reaches of Hell

If Cyrus is in your active party, you may have received a prompt to start his second chapter. Otherwise, head to the tavern, choose Hear a Tale, and select the chapter. Cyrus decides to visit Odette. Her house is in the first area of Quarrycrest, up the ramp behind the Provisioner. A scene will trigger upon approach.

Cyrus discusses the stolen tome with Odette, who has limited information. She asks Cyrus to investigate recent mysterious disappearances. Scrutinize Odette to learn the incidents occurred near the inn. Two green markers will appear on your map: one near the save point, the other in front of the inn. Scrutinize both NPCs. You will then need to answer questions: “Near the inn,” “At all hours,” and “The sewers.”

After the investigation, the entrance to The Sewers opens behind the inn. This dungeon has a Danger Level of 24.

The Sewers

Upon entering The Sewers, go north, west, and then south to find a chest containing an Inspiriting Plum Basket. Follow the path north, cross the bridge, and head south to find a purple chest with a Snipe Saber. West of the purple chest is another chest with a Fire Soulstone (M). Enter the room above for a chest with an Energizing Pomegranate L. Stairs to the right of this room lead to a hidden passage connecting to the eastern map area.

West of the small room is a bridge. Cross it and open the chest north of it for a Healing Grape Bunch. A hidden path to the left of this chest leads west and south to a chest containing a Sprightly Ring. Return and proceed south, past the save point, to find a chest at the end containing a Bottle of Befuddling Dust. Save your game and enter the room beyond for a scene, leading to a boss fight.

BOSS - Gideon

Gideon summons two Dancing Bones on his first turn, who protect him.
