Gettin' Yolked in the Forest

Alright, so you've got the "Gettin' Yolked in the Forest" quest. It's basically a tougher version of that egg delivery you might have done before. There are a couple of things you gotta know going in:

• First off, you need to have the Ancient Forest Camp unlocked. Can't be dropping eggs off if you don't know where to go!
• Second, and this is a big one, you're gonna have to fight a Rathian. She's not gonna just hand over her eggs, obviously.

Fighting a Rathian is a whole thing, and we've covered it in the "Royal Relocation" quest, so I won't bore you with the same strats. Just remember, the Ancient Forest is way more vertical than other places. That Rathian will fly off to its nests, which are super high up. Getting to them is a pain, especially when you're carrying an egg. You'll be doing a lot of running around.

The Rathian's nest is in AREA 16, and the Ancient Forest Camp is in AREA 17. Normally, you could zip between them pretty easily. But when you're carrying an egg, you can't just crawl under branches. You'll have to take the long way around, clockwise. The eggs themselves are in the Rathian's nest in AREA 16.

Once you've dealt with the Rathian, grabbing the eggs from her nest is easy peasy. Just head back to the Ancient Forest Camp. If you're a bit lost, no worries! Just press [R3] while you're near the Ancient Forest Camp to set a waypoint, and follow those handy Scoutflies. They'll lead you right there. The only real threat after the Rathian is gone might be some Vespoids if you stand around too long, but otherwise, you're golden.
