Anjanath is a popular Brute Wyvern in Monster Hunter: World, known colloquially as the “pink wall” due to its challenging nature for new hunters. It appears in multiple assignments and optional quests across Low and High Rank.

Anjanath has Low Rank, High Rank, and Tempered (Threat Level 1) variants.

Anjanath Strengths and Weaknesses

Anjanath’s weak spots are its head and tail, with the head taking more damage. Its head and legs are breakable, and its tail is severable. It is resistant to Fire and Blast, but weak to Water. Other ailments are moderately effective.

When enraged, indicated by its frills, Anjanath breathes fire. Fire attacks can inflict burning, which can be extinguished by dodging three times or instantly by rolling in water. A high Fire Resistance (20 points) prevents immolation.

Anjanath Attacks

Anjanath is a relentless and hard-hitting monster. It uses bites, kicks, tail sweeps, and charges, including a short rush and a powerful ground-rending assault. It can also leap great distances. When enraged, it uses fire breath attacks, including a wide sweep and a concentrated blast that can be lethal. Hunters should avoid being in front of an enraged Anjanath.
