Master the Go-Kart TT challenges in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. Get Bronze, Silver, and Gold times for all four courses in Firefly Island.

Walkthrough:

The Go-Kart can be found at the southeast corner of the track area directly south of the Firefly Island Safehouse.

There are four courses, each requiring three laps. Colored tires act as obstacles; hitting them can stop you or bounce you, so avoid them. Successfully obtaining the Bronze Medal on all four courses will unlock the Go-Kart at Auto Merchant.

Getting Gold on these courses is difficult due to very tight time requirements, as there is no traffic. You must complete the course without using the brake (unless powersliding) and hit nothing the entire time.

Course 1

• Time: Bronze - 0:33 and under, Silver - 0:29 and under, Gold - 0:25 and under.
• Notes: This course is reasonably easy for Bronze. There are no sharp turns and not many tires to cause problems.

Course 2

• Time: Bronze - 0:50 and under, Silver - 0:45 and under, Gold - 0:40 and under.
• Notes: This course is tougher than the last to complete and get Gold in. You will need to powerslide through the sharp turn in the middle. How well you do this determines if you get Gold.

Course 3

• Time: Bronze - 0:50 and under, Silver - 0:46 and under, Gold - 0:42 and under.
• Notes: This is a longer course with a sharp U-turn in the middle that requires a powerslide. How well you handle it determines if you get Gold. Powersliding too soon may cause you to miss the next marker, forcing a restart.

Course 4

• Time: Bronze - 1:07 and under.
• Notes: (Details for Silver and Gold times and notes for Course 4 are missing from the source text.)

Course 2 (Park Area - potentially from a different context)

• Time: Bronze - 0:45 and under, Silver - 0:40 and under, Gold - 0:35 and under.
• Notes: Located in the north area of the park. The hardest part is going around the picnic area. There is also a ramp near the start line. To get Gold, go full speed around the area and skip using the ramp, as it will slow you down.

Course 3 (Park Area - potentially from a different context)

• Time: Bronze - 1:13 and under, Silver - 1:08 and under, Gold - 1:03 and under.
• Notes: This is the single worst course in the game. It's tough to simply complete, let alone medal. Key challenges include a sharp left turn at the beginning, a ramp onto a road with traffic, navigating around The Monoglobe, avoiding trees near the picnic area, and dealing with trees, benches, and lampposts on a walk path. Additional benches slow you down further. There is a ramp near the end. It's tough to do one lap, let alone two. For Bronze, be patient. For Gold, be near perfect. The random traffic and obstacles make this one of the toughest tasks in the game. Unless you are set on all Gold Medals, it's recommended to just get Bronze and finish this course.
