Part 100

Part 100 of the Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars walkthrough covers obtaining the Safehouse, collecting ammo, buying Safehouses, and starting the Chan Jaoming missions, including 'Pimp His Ride' and 'Whack the Racers'.

Finally get the Safehouse. After obtaining the Safehouse then go around and collect ammo for your weapons to have them reasonably filled up before proceeding further. This includes the hard to obtain Flamethrower in Castle Gardens. Once you obtain it the first time using the methods outlined earlier then it becomes easy to go back and get more ammo for it.

And, if you have enough money from Dealing, then go around and buy all of the remaining Safehouses. You may also want to continue Dealing and get around $250,000 to $300,000 which should be enough for the rest of the game (although you may want to get around $500,000 just to be safe).

You should also get 20 bags of Weed, two bags of Coke, and ten bags of Ecstasy for the Main Story.

At this point you should also have, with the exclusion of the Liberty City Gun Club:

• NDS Version: 72 Medals, seven Safehouse Trophies, and 57.05% completed.
• PSP Version: 84 Medals, seven Safehouse Trophies, and 56.54% completed.

When all of this said it is finally time to go back to the Main Story and to our next character.....

Chan Jaoming

Chan is the son of the current Triad boss, Hsin. He is spoiled and extremely dim-witted, preferring to race cars instead of running a gang. Even so, he strongly believes that his father will give him the reins to the Triads when he steps down. His first mission can be found at his garage in East Island City.

Pimp His Ride

Overview

Chan greets Huang by bragging about how he is going to be the next Triad boss. He intends to impress everybody by winning Liberty City's biggest street race. However, the current champion is a cheat and Chan wants Huang to make some modifications to his car to ensure a fair race.....

The Plan

When the mission begins then go to the Champion's Garage which is located in Schottler. When you get near there then you need to follow his car closely without being seen. He will eventually lead you to the Hove Beach Pay 'N' Spray.

When he leaves his car then get in. You need to drive it back to Chan's Garage, do what you need to do, and drive it back to the Pay 'N' Spray within a time limit and do it without damaging the vehicle. When you get it to the Garage then you need to perform some "maintenance" on the Champ's Car.

There are three tools: a Hammer, a Screwdriver, and Wire Cutters. You can use them in any order. Use the Hammer to smash the engine. Smash the various parts outlined until you get the tools back.

Next, use the Screwdriver to puncture the coolant tank. Then use the Wire Cutters to cut the wires. After that you will be given a Fish to ruin the air conditioning.

After all of that is done then you need to quickly drive the car back to the Pay 'N' Spray before time runs out. The problem is that, because of all the damage you did, the car will drive slower and may suddenly pull to the side every so often.

Just drive carefully and you should get it there with little problem. Once you get it back to the Pay 'N' Spray then the mission is completed successfully.

Reward

In addition, you can now use the Ammu-Nation.net weapon service. Follow the instructions to get a free Micro-SMG. You will also unlock the Ammu-Nation Scratch Card game at most Shops and the Resolution X at Auto Merchant.

You can now jack the Ammu-Nation vans for additional weapons and ammo. It works exactly the same as what you did earlier for Tommy. You have to damage the van enough to get the driver to exit the vehicle then take the van back to a secluded Safehouse so you can open it up to obtain the weapon.

However, I don't think it's worth the hassle and just stick to buying online.

Whack the Racers

Overview

Chan has a killer hangover but the race will be starting soon. He wants Huang to knock the other racers off the road to help him win.....

Weapons

• Micro-SMG.

The Plan

You'll need a fast car and, thankfully, there's a Comet right next to the building. Take the car to the starting line to begin the race. The champ's car will blow up thanks to the work from the previous mission.

However, you need to knock off the other drivers to allow Chan to win. You can't destroy the other cars but you can either shoot at them or bump them to drive them off of the road, at least temporarily.

When Chan is in the lead then you need to keep the other drivers from regaining the lead. It is best to bump them to knock them off course and save your ammo. The race lasts for three laps and, when Chan wins the race, then the mission will be completed.
