Learn about the Algonquin Rampages in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, including the Northwood Assault Rifle and Chainsaw Rampages.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
[AGQ-R1] - In the corner of a wall
    • Neighborhood: Northwood
  2. 2
    Weapon: Assault Rifle
  3. 3
    Henchmen: One
  4. 4
    Gang: African Americans
  5. 5
    Score: Bronze - 1,000; Silver - 3,065; Gold - 5,525
  6. 6
    Map: (B-1)
  7. 7
Directions: From Darius [NTW-D1], go back to the road entrance and stop. Directly across the street south of your position is a small structure and a wall. The Rampage can be found in the inside corner of this wall.
  8. 8
Notes: Start by heading southeast towards the parking area behind the apartment buildings, firing continuously. In the parking area, head east, locking on and firing. Aim for 7x to 10x Chains. Once on the east side, turn around and head west, then back east. Continue this pattern through the area to achieve Gold. The Charge Island exploit is not viable here due to time constraints.
  9. 9
PSP Version Notes: Due to a lack of targets, this Rampage is difficult for Gold. Use 50+ Proximity Mines and travel east along the street, firing at everything to stop gang cars and dropping mines near them to create large chains.
  10. 10
    [AGQ-R2] - At a playground
    • Neighborhood: Northwood
  11. 11
    Weapon: Chainsaw
  12. 12
    Henchmen: One
  13. 13
    Gang: Spanish Lords
  14. 14
    Score: Bronze - 1,000; Silver - 1,950; Gold - 3,100
  15. 15
    Map: (C-1)
  16. 16
Directions: Go to the four-way intersection at the west end of the Northwood Heights Bridge. The playground and the Rampage are at the northwest corner.
  17. 17
Notes: Chainsaw Rampages require close proximity. Marathon and Double Armor upgrades can help. To achieve the score, ignore vehicles and sprint down streets to engage gang members. Use the Jump Kick (A+B on NDS, X+Circle on PSP) while sawing to instantly kill enemies and create combos. Hold the B or X button to saw, then shift to the A or Circle button to complete the kick and instantly kill.
Tips
  • A critical bug in the Stats can cause Mission Failure even if you complete a Rampage, unless you beat the high score. This means you may accumulate many failures on your stats if aiming for Gold.
  • If you significantly exceed the Gold requirement on your first attempt, especially using the Charge Island/Golden Pier exploit, you might receive a Silver medal, forcing you to retry.
  • Achieving a Gold Medal on a Rampage and replaying it will result in two Henchmen, regardless of the original number (except for most Flamethrower and RPG Rampages).
  • For [AGQ-R2], consider using the Marathon and Double Armor upgrades to make the close-quarters combat with the Chainsaw more manageable.
