Master Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars' Part 69 with our comprehensive guide, covering Vigilante, Ambulance, and Noodle Run missions, including tips for medals and rewards.

This section covers several side missions in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, including the Vigilante Mission, Ambulance Mission, and Noodle Run.

Vigilante Mission

Difficult crimes involve heavily armed criminals. To make the Vigilante Mission easier, select a crime with no weapons. If none are available, restart the mission by tapping the Select Button. You will need Micro-SMG ammo and a Sword. Approach the crime, select one of the felon's vehicles, and shoot it until it smokes and the driver exits. Kill the unarmed driver with the Sword to minimize your Wanted Rating. Other felons will converge on your position. If a car has a passenger, jack it from the passenger side to force them out, then kill them. If your Police car is destroyed, grab another vehicle to continue the chase. You need the Police car to start, but not to finish. Completing a wave of five criminals notifies you of the percentage killed and wave completion. Money is earned from killed criminals. To obtain a Medal, complete five crime waves in a "wave cluster." Medal type (Bronze, Silver, Gold) is determined by the percentage of criminals killed (60%, 80%, 100% respectively). Losing criminals results in a percentage loss. Completing a wave allows other activities before starting the next. A Gold Medal grants the Double Armor feature.

Ambulance Mission

The Ambulance Mission involves rescuing patients. Get into any Ambulance at a Hospital and press Select to begin. Like the Vigilante Mission, five waves of patients are required for a medal. Each wave has two to four patients. The Patients Line in the upper left corner indicates remaining patients; if it runs out, they die, and the wave ends. A new wave begins immediately after the previous one. You can only rescue one patient at a time. A patient icon appears on the Touch Screen (NDS) or Main Screen (PSP). Monitor the patient's heartbeat while driving to the hospital. If the heart stops, tap the heart icon on the NDS version while coasting, or press the L Button on the PSP version while driving. Crashing hard can cause heart stoppage. Each patient delivered earns ten dollars. Completing five patient waves earns a medal: 50% for Bronze, 75% for Silver, and 100% for Gold. Earning Gold grants the Marathon Feature (infinite sprint).

Noodle Run

The Noodle Run side-mission uses two special vans with large dragons on top. This mission involves delivering noodles to customers while fending off rivals. It's recommended to have full Health and Body Armor before starting. The vans are located in Chinatown (Algonquin) at the four-way intersection northeast of Spaz [CIT-D41], heading east then left at the double intersection, looking for an alley on the right with the Dragon Wagon. Another van is in Cerveza Heights (Broker), south of the Safehouse entrance, past the four-way intersection.
