Your guide to unlocking all 21 achievements in Duke Nukem Forever. Learn the best strategies and locations to earn every trophy and bonus.

Alright, let's talk about racking up those achievements in Duke Nukem Forever. There are 21 in total, and most of them are tied to specific actions or challenges you'll encounter throughout the game. We'll cover how to get them all, so you can show off your Duke-ness.

Threesome (+10G / Bronze)

This one requires you to kill 3 enemies within 3 seconds using the Impregnader weapon. The best place to pull this off is when you first drop into the Motivational Room and have to deal with those Duke Clones. You can also hang back in the vent and pick them off from safety. Honestly, this is pretty straightforward on lower difficulties. You can also snag this during the fight with the Pregnators after Dr. Proton figures out where you are.

Training Facility Walkthrough

You'll start by heading into the Training Facility. Pay attention to the little details; while you're waiting in line, one of the Duke clones misquotes Duke's iconic line to the Cycloid Emperor. The original was, "I'm gonna rip your eye out and piss on your brain, you alien dirtbag," but the clone says, "I'm going to rip your eye out and piss on your brain, you alien piece of shit." Also, remember your ID here is "Duke Clone 69."

Next, you'll head to the Training Area to grab some Ego Boosts. Start with Melee Training: check out the mirror, smack the punching bag, arm wrestle a Duke Clone, and use the pull-up bar. Then, move on to Skills Training and hit the basketball hoop. Finally, hit the Weight Training Room to curl a dumbbell, do some deadlifts, and bench press a massive barbell. After collecting all eight Ego Boosts, head to Attitude Training and then into the Motivational Room.

In the Motivational Room, you'll learn the alien invasion is linked to the Moon. Grab the film reel, flip the switch to activate the old film projector, attach the reel, and watch the Fire Safety show – that’s your last Ego Boost for this level. This will get the attention of the International Duke Committee in the next room, putting you at the top of the training list.

Head to the main hallway and up the stairs. The door will open for you. Go through and pick the door on the right; the left one is occupied by a Duke Clone who will be your opponent. Once that door opens, step through and walk to the very end of the designated spot.

CHECKPOINT

“Lesson One: Don't fuck with the real Duke.” - Duke Nukem

After the Pistol platform rises, grab your Pistol and immediately back up. Focus on scoring headshots – you'll need four to take down a Duke Clone. Once the first one is down, return your weapon.

The next fight is tougher: you're up against two Duke Clones armed with Shotguns. These guys can wreck your Ego bar with a single close-range shot, so be careful. You'll need at least two Shotgun blasts to take one down. Try to focus on one at a time before your health gets too low, then evade the other until your Ego recharges. As soon as you can, take cover behind the box to your right to stop one from flanking you. Take your time here.

The third round is easier, but speed is key. You're facing one Duke with a Shrink Ray. Your best bet is to shrink him first, then stomp him for a quick kill. If he shrinks you, run away until you grow back. If you both get shrunk simultaneously, either keep your distance or go for melee attacks.

Return your weapon and move on.

CHECKPOINT

Now you're facing Assault Troopers and Assault Trooper Captains. Grab your AT Laser. It'll take about two full volleys for a regular trooper and three for a Captain. When the flying enemies show up in the third wave, just run around like a madman to regenerate your Ego – they have a hard time hitting fast-moving targets on the ground.

  • Wave 2: Assault Trooper Captains x 2
  • Wave 3: Assault Trooper Captains x 3 (flying)

CHECKPOINT

Return your weapon and proceed.

CHECKPOINT

Grab the new Impregnader weapon and get ready for waves of Pregnators. Two shots from this thing will take out one of these alien pests. Be warned, though: there's significant splashback damage, so make sure your target isn't too close to you. If your Ego gets low, remember the
