Achievements Obtainable: 17

Bucket Head (+30G / Bronze)

Find all 3 helmets in the SP campaign. Helmet locations are detailed in the guide. The achievement unlocks once you find the final helmet in the level.

Pescaphobe (+10G / Bronze)

Kill all the catfish in the underwater level. There are fifteen catfish in total. Attempting this with more than base Ego allows you to survive being out of air longer.

Beating The One-Eyed Worm (+35G / Silver)

Defeat the Energy Leech. This is a story-based achievement and cannot be missed.

I Am All That Is Man (+40G / Silver)

Discover all Ego cap awards. There are thirty-four Ego Boosts to find through the whole game. They are listed at the start of each level. The final one triggers and the achievement unlocks after defeating the Energy Leech.

Tips
  • For the boss fight against the Octabrains, the Freeze Ray is recommended (on the unpatched version of Duke Nukem Forever).
  • The Shrink Ray and Pipe Bombs carried over from previous levels are a devastating combination against the Octabrains. The Ripper, Shotgun, AT Laser, and AT Captain Laser are good alternatives.
  • Octabrains are more dangerous underwater due to their maneuverability and speed, making it difficult to maintain distance. They may attempt to surround you if attacking in pairs.
  • During battles, Octabrains will throw debris like garbage, bodies, and barrels, which can cause varying amounts of damage.
  • If you are looking for the final helmet (Helmet 3/3), look for a red arrow on the pipes, then slightly to the left to see a floating EDF corpse by a flashlight. Follow the direction it's facing to find the helmet in a small area with air.
  • When facing two Octabrains, retreat to where you came in (they won't follow through the gap) and attack them from a safe distance with guns or Pipe Bombs.
