How to Beat Raifort (Academy Ace Tournament)

The Academy Ace Tournament is a single-elimination tournament with 4 rounds, available in the postgame.

Raifort's pokemon are between Level 65 and 66. It is recommended to use pokemon at Level 66 or higher.

Consider bringing Dark and Fire-type pokemon to counter Raifort's team effectively.

Raifort's team consists of Zoroark (Level 65, Dark), Seviper (Level 65, Poison), Grumpig (Level 65, Psychic), Lumineon (Level 65, Water), Scizor (Level 65, Bug/Steel), and Gengar (Level 66, Ghost/Poison, Tera Type: Ghost).

Zoroark will disguise itself as the last pokemon in Raifort's party. It uses Night Daze, Sludge Bomb, Psychic, and Flamethrower. It is not very durable. Avoid Psychic types.

Seviper uses Gunk Shot, Crunch, Psychic Fangs, and Glare. Its Shed Skin ability can cure status ailments. Ground types are recommended.

Grumpig uses Psychic, Power Gem, Earth Power, and Flash Cannon. Its Thick Fat ability reduces Fire and Ice damage. Dark and Ghost types are effective.

Lumineon uses Whirlpool, Ice Beam, Air Slash, and Dazzling Gleam. Electric types are recommended.

Scizor uses X-Scissor, Bullet Punch, Aerial Ace, and Thief. Its Technician ability boosts the power of most moves. Fire types deal 4x damage.

Raifort's final pokemon is a Terastallized Gengar, which becomes a pure Ghost type. It uses Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Sucker Punch, and Fire Punch. Dark types are recommended.
