How to Find & Catch Miraidon

Learn how to find and catch the second Miraidon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Includes battle details, recommended Pokémon, and the best Poké Balls to use.

After completing the Area Zero story in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you'll be able to use your own Miraidon in battle by selecting it from the Pokémon menu. However, if you want a second Miraidon for your party or to complete your Pokédex, you'll need to catch it separately.

Miraidon Battle Details:

• Level: 72
• Type: Electric / Dragon
• Ability: Hadron Engine (Summons Electric Terrain for 5 turns, boosting Miraidon's Special Attack by 30%)
• Moves: Electro Drift, Hyper Beam, Charge, Power Gem
• Weaknesses: Ice, Ground, Dragon, Fairy
• Resistances: Fire, Water, Grass, Flying, Steel, Electric

Strategy:

• Miraidon is a Legendary Pokémon with exceptional stats and a low catch rate.
• Inflict a status ailment like Paralysis (Thunder Wave) or Sleep (Hypnosis) to improve catch chances.
• Avoid using moves that deal x4 damage, as Miraidon has no type combination that results in this.
• Be mindful of Miraidon's powerful moves, especially Electro Drift (boosted by Charge) and Hyper Beam (which requires a recharge turn).
• Use healing items and X Defense boosts if you're taking significant damage.
• Once Miraidon's HP is low, you can begin throwing Poké Balls.

Recommended Poké Balls:

• Ultra Balls: Good general-purpose balls.
