Tatsugiri is a Dragon type. To effectively battle it, you should bring Pokémon with Fairy or Ice type attacks, as Tatsugiri is equally weak to both.

If you haven't caught any suitable Pokémon, consider these options encountered on the way to the False Dragon Titan:

• Igglybuff — Fairy type
• Cyclizar — Dragon type

Best Strategies for Tatsugiri, the False Dragon Titan

You will need to fight Tatsugiri once, immediately after defeating Dondozo. Ensure your team is prepared for both encounters.

If you have any of the recommended Pokémon, their attacks will be useful:

• Cyclizar's Breaking Swipe
• Florges' Fairy Wind
• Igglybuff's Disarming Voice or Sweet Kiss

Tatsugiri can use Muddy Water, which can deal significant damage and may lower your Pokémon's accuracy. Keep your health topped up with Potions or Super Potions throughout the battle.

Tatsugiri can also use Icy Wind, which lowers your Pokémon's Speed, potentially allowing Tatsugiri to attack more frequently. It can also use Taunt, which prevents your Pokémon from using status moves for 3 turns.

After the Battle

After defeating Dondozo and Tatsugiri and completing the Dragon Titan challenge, you will unlock the Climb ability. This allows you to ride Miraidon or Koraidon up walls by pressing the button while facing a wall.
