Walkthrough

    Approach the Stillsands Tallneck. Aloy will note it appears damaged.

    Examine a nearby machine carcass to learn that Oseram attempted to shoot it down.

    Use your Focus to examine the camp and discover you need to bring the Tallneck down to override and repair it.

    Locate the three Ballistas around the camp.

    Use the Ballistas to anchor the Tallneck. As you do, more machines will appear to attack you.

    Fight off the attacking machines while continuing to shoot the Ballistas at the Tallneck during any available openings.

    Once all three Ballistas have anchored the Tallneck, it will collapse.

    With most machines defeated, walk over to the fallen Tallneck.

    Jump onto its highest point and override it with your spear.

    The Tallneck will repair itself and stand up with Aloy on top.

    Rappel down to complete the objective. The Stillsands map area will be revealed.

  • The Tallneck is located in the very east of the Stillsands and will be visible on the map as you approach.
  • Completing this Tallneck will reveal the entire Stillsands area on the map, which is useful for locating Rebel Outposts and other activities.
  • It is recommended to be at least Level 20 for this encounter due to the combat involved.
  • You do not need to have unlocked any mounts to reach this Tallneck.
  • The Ballistas are easy to use once you have cleared the immediate area of threats.
