Walkthrough
- 1Locate the Stillsands South Rebel Outpost by heading southeast of the Stillsands North Outpost, below the Tallneck in the same area. It is recommended to be at least Level 25.
- 2Engage the Rebel Soldiers. Stealth is difficult due to the open desert terrain and lack of cover. It's advisable to start taking out soldiers quickly.
- 3Prioritize the mandatory objective: find and kill the Rebel Leader.
- 4The Rebel Leader is equipped with a purple shield. You have two options to deal with it:
- Deal enough damage to break the shield, allowing you to attack the Leader directly.
- 5Dodge the Leader's attacks and strike from behind as he recovers. He is vulnerable after each attack attempt.
- 6Be aware of other Rebel Soldiers attacking while you fight the Leader. Consider taking out some of the less important soldiers first to avoid being overwhelmed.
- 7After defeating the Rebel Leader, retrieve the Rebel Key.
- 8Use the Rebel Key to open a nearby chest (indicated by a purple icon) which contains valuable loot.
- 9Optionally, defeat any remaining Rebel Soldiers. They do not have shields and their loot is less valuable than the Leader's.
- 10If you choose to leave, Aloy will note that the Rebels will abandon the outpost.
Tips
- The Rebel Leader's shield can be broken by dealing sufficient damage or bypassed by dodging and attacking from behind.
- Dodging the Leader's attacks leaves him vulnerable for a short period.
- The open terrain makes stealth challenging; consider a direct approach.
- Prioritize the Rebel Leader to complete the mandatory objective.
- Loot the chest unlocked by the Rebel Key for good rewards.
