Learn the Anchorite of Light's weaknesses, HP, and strategies to defeat it in Bravely Second. Includes tips on handling its powerful magic attacks and healing.
Alright, so you're ready to face the final Anchorite! This one's chilling out way over on the eastern side of Eternia. If you've got the Summoner job and some time to kill before hopping on the Skyhold, you can do a little side trip first. Grab the Rubadub and head to Gravemark Village in the Eternia region. From there, it's a short trip northeast to a little inland sea. Park the Rubadub where the water gets shallow, then use the map menu to switch to the rowboat. Follow the watery path south until you hit dry land. Head to the northernmost part of this island, and bam! There's your final Anchorite, just like Mephilia's Memos hinted at. Definitely save your game before you chat with it, and maybe try refusing its challenge just to see what happens – it's kind of funny!
- 1You'll find yourself on a small island in the eastern Eternia region.
- 2Head to the northern edge of this island to find the Anchorite of Light.
- 3Save your game before accepting the challenge.
Boss: Anchorite of Light
Stats / Weaknesses:
- Level: 44
- HP: 40,000
- Weaknesses: Dark, Demon
Phases:
- The Anchorite of Light uses a variety of magic attacks, including Comet (1-4 non-elemental hits on one target), Meteor (4 non-elemental hits on random targets), and occasionally Stop to incapacitate a party member.
- It can also cast Amaterasu on itself to restore 9999 HP.
Strategy:
- Since this boss has a lot of HP and hits hard with magic, focus on boosting your party's magic defense. Alternatively, a Pirate can use abilities to lower the Anchorite's magic attack.
- If a party member gets hit with Stop, it can't be cured by normal healing spells or items. You'll need the Exorcist's Purgation or the Time Mage's Stop Immunity to deal with it.
- The Anchorite's Amaterasu healing can be annoying, but it can't be reflected. If you're really struggling, the Exorcist's Undo HP can reverse the healing, but usually, just out-damaging it is the way to go.
- Don't forget its physical defense is pretty weak, and it's vulnerable to Dark attacks. Incorporate those into your strategy! Using the Hawkeye's Darkhead ability with a sword attack can really put a dent in its HP.
