Boss: The Jackal

Level: 19, HP: 3000, Weakness: None

Assisting enemies: Desert Vigilante x2 (Level 19, HP: 950, Weakness: Lightning)

The Jackal uses Steal Breath to drain HP and Steal to take Potions. He may Brave to use Steal Breath and a regular attack, becoming immobile for one turn. Desert Vigilantes use Final Strike. Eliminate the vigilantes first with Lightning Needle while your party Defaults. Once alone, The Jackal may Brave 3 times for 4 attacks, becoming immobile for 3 turns. Default with everyone except your Wizard during this phase. Recommended attacks include Charioteer’s Trample, Wizard’s Mist and Dart, and Fencer’s Blazing Wolf, Wolf Fang, and Goring Aurochs.

Boss: Fiore DeRosa

Level: 19, HP: 3000, Weakness: None

Assisting enemies: Mage Apprentice x2 (Level 19, HP: 950, Weakness: None)

DeRosa uses Blizzara and Captivating Cologne to charm. Any attack has a 25% chance of increasing DeRosa’s BP by 1. If DeRosa’s BP is 1 or greater, he may Brave twice to cast Cura and Blizzara, followed by a normal attack, ending with -1 BP and becoming immobile for one turn. Always Default when DeRosa’s BP is more than 1. Mage Apprentices use Shining and Love Tap to increase DeRosa’s BP. Focus on the apprentices first. Recommended strategy: Default until 3 BP, heal party if below half HP. Use Bishop’s Holy Night on all party members.

Tips
  • Equip optimum physical defense for The Jackal fight. If your Wizard was dual-wielding rods, give them a shield.
  • If your Wizard is knocked out during The Jackal fight, you have time to resurrect them.
  • For the DeRosa fight, a powerful Wizard, a Bishop (job level 2+), and a Fencer (job level 4+) are recommended. A Charioteer or another Fencer/Wizard can fill the last slot.
  • Snap charmed characters out of DeRosa's Captivating Cologne with a Remedy or weak attack.
  • If your party has taken significant damage in the DeRosa fight, use Group-Cast Heal twice or Halfsies.
